I was born in Canada and somehow ended up in the Arizona desert! Along the way, I attended Yale University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology, which is a weird way to refer to Neuroscience. I wanted to be a doctor since I was a kid and originally wanted to be a neurologist but at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, New York) I loved my pediatric rotations the most. So, I took my MD degree to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where I completed my pediatric residency. After finishing my pediatric training in 2005, I came to Arizona and started out as a pediatric hospital doctor in the Phoenix east valley. After several years I moved westward and I have been an office-based pediatrician ever since.
I eventually realized that what brought me south of the Canadian border was my destiny to meet and marry a local Arizona girl named Teri. Together we have two amazing sons. We love spending time outside doing anything active. My current challenge challenge is staying injury-free for triathlon and marathon running!

My goal is to help parents achieve their goal of turning a crying, eight pound bundle of cuteness into a healthy, responsible and successful adult. At periodic well checks, parents have an opportunity to ask questions about general health and development. From your child's first visit as a newborn to his or her last as an 18 year old young adult, there will be literal and figurative hiccups, ups and downs. Whether it be an ear infection, a sore throat or asthma or ADHD, through it all I will be by your side armed with a listening ear, a thoughtful mind and two decades of experience in the medical field.
I offer a variety of preventative care services such as annual physical exams, immunizations, hearing and vision screens and routine blood tests. While there may be 'controversy' about vaccines on the Internet, there is no controversy among knowledgable doctors and scientists that vaccines are safe and effective. I follow the recommended schedule advocated by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control. I also do office-based circumcisions at the request of parents. Also, expect routine blood tests for metabolic and genetic diseases in the newborn period, a screen for anemia at 1 year of age and tests for cholesterol in late childhood and late adolescence. Otherwise, blood tests are conducted only as needed.
We offer diagnostics for many acute symptoms such as ear infections, strep throat, flu, colds, urine infections and other illnesses.
I specialize in the treatment of chronic issues like asthma, ADHD, reflux, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, and acne. Some chronic conditions require a specialist. If so, I'll make sure you get in with the right doctor to suit your child's needs.
